Welcome, thank you for visiting my website.
I am both pleased and proud to offer the highest quality, fully qualified and professional music tuition in a comfortable and safe environment in the lovely village of Bury, near Ramsey in rural Cambridgeshire.
Highly experienced at both teaching and performance at professional level, I am a mature and seasoned musical educator who is highly regarded within the music teaching profession.
My teaching practice caters for the piano, guitar and trumpet. I provide lessons weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or as needed to suit your requirements and budget.
Are you thinking of learning from scratch as an adult, or perhaps looking to develop your skills to a higher level at the instruments I teach. Thinking of arranging tuition as a gift, or tuition for a child? In all of these instances and many others, I can help you.
I also teach performance or examination preparation on instruments not listed on the understanding that I do not instruct on the technique of playing such instruments. Please call for details.
Theory and composition in both classical and contemporary forms is also taught either as a separate subject or as a part of an instrument teaching programme.
Please do contact me today to discuss your needs via the 'contact me' page, or telephone 01487 815146 or 07979 921619. If I cannot take your call when you call then please be assured of a response as soon as possible.
There is an email link at the top of each page or many methods of contacting me on the Contact Me page.
I am pleased to offer the following benefits:
- More than 45 years teaching experience
- Fully qualified teacher of music performance with many performances at major venues.
- Fully DBS checked and anually rechecked. The certificate is on the DBS checking page.
- Highly experienced professional performer and recording musician
- Large, very busy and full time professional practice (not just a paying hobby).
- Optional student concerts, recitals and recording sessions
- Vast and comprehensive sheet music and recorded music library
- Proven track record of success
- Video lessons via zoom, one to one.
- All ages, genres and levels taught and adult beginners are especially welcome
- Very patient, encouraging, non-critical and sympathetic teaching style
- Excellent rapport with children (25% of my students are under 16 years of age)
- A teacher of adults, able to connect and communicate with all at a comfortable level
- Recommended and endorsed by peers, as well as past and present students
- A trainer of other music teachers
- Lecturer and presenter at teacher training courses, conventions and meetings.
My fees are typically £34 per hour, £17 half hour for standard tuition. Many students find for example that 2 hours a month with me is more fulfilling and more profitable educationally than a weekly lesson with some other teachers, and in many cases more economic.
There is much more detailed information on the Further Information/Fees page and more all of the above within the different sections of the website . Please use the page links found at the top of each page to navigate the site. Simply click on any underlined words to take you to that page, or for more information on any organisations mentioned. There is also a 'next page' link at the bottom of every page and a site search facility at the top of each page. You will find also a comments box below.
Thank you for reading this far down! If you think I could be the teacher to help you to achieve your own potential or your child's potential then I would be delighted to talk to you.
