It is a magnificent and commanding feeling to play an instrument as bold as a trumpet. It has sent signals on the battlefield, announced the arrival of monarchs, revolutionised jazz and yet can speak with a voice of calm to soothe and reassure.

Apart from just the joy of learning this formidable instrument I teach all Associated Board grades, (others on request) including the jazz syllabus.
Grades taught to grade 8 for regular exams and grade 5 (the present maximum) for jazz. Post grade 8 studies and preparation for college entry and other diploma certificates welcomed.
Your lessons will be tailored totally to your needs. There is no 'factory farming' of pupils on a teaching method with a one size fits all approach so often found in instrument teaching and tutor books.
Other brass instruments taught and coached for examinations or for personal development.
Whether lessons are for a child, an adult or if you are at the time of life when you are leaving work or even in your senior years, learning to play a musical instrument is one of the most rewarding things you can do.

Richard is a true professional and a gifted musician and guitarist. In particular I have one recording (recorded at the BBC) we shared with the most outstanding and melodic Lead Guitar solo for one of my songs which would stand along side some of "the greats".
